Photography: the natural world as a base
I love to take picture, here beside is a photograph of one of my favourite places on the planet - Whitby, North Yorkshire.
I find a lot of contemplation time and calm with the natural environment - i take a lot of stock in the practice of Grounding. I hate wearing shoes and socks - and the connection with nature is one that i take into my writing as much as i can.

Using my experience as creative fodder
Writing is an outlet for your thoughts and emotions - it can be cathartic to write about negetive emotions and experiences in a creative way. I do this an awful lot to be honest - and you may find poems about abuse, rascism, and grief in my collection.

Drawing and Art:
I am overall a very creative person, I find solace and escape within doing things with my hands. Therefore I draw. paint, craft, do cross-stitch, embroider, Hand sew clothes/cushions and bake a variety of tasty treats.
Below is an example of a piece of my own art, using pencil, charcoal and fine-liner, called The Hare.

Reading:
I am an avid reader - I find new words, expressions and styles of writing. It provides a great amount of creative ideas and allows me to draw new depth, meaning and implicit expression into my work.
I also use other languages where I can to fully explore a range of emotion and experience into my work.
Use dictionaries, thesauruses and even google translate (other translation devices are available) to provide you with a plethora of way to express yourself.
